BED-STUY TOWNHOUSE - 2021

In this project, a real estate professional and developer’s own home, we worked hand in hand with them and the contractor, an expert at townhouse restorations, to recreate and restore details that had been stripped away over the years. A vibrant palette and open floor plan define this bright and airy home. Doors, moldings, mantles, and the stair banisters and newel posts were salvaged, stripped, and refinished before being given a new life in this home. The floors are white oak herringbone with a Nordic finish to contrast with the restored woodwork. The front and rear facades and the stoop were also cleaned and restored. The custom kitchen of lacquered cabinetry, quartz counters and handmade tiles opens to a large deck and terrace that leads to the landscaped garden below.
